Quick answer
Can a leaking gutter be repaired, or does it need replacing?
A small, local fault may only need a repair. If the gutter itself has failed in several places, replacement may be the better option. The condition of the whole run matters, not just the spot where water drips.
A lasting answer to repeated leaks
This Coventry homeowner was regularly experiencing leaks from the gutters. The old system had holes and needed more than a small patch.
The customer needed the affected guttering replaced so it could carry rainwater away properly.

AfterHow David carried out the replacement
Undid the screws beneath the guttering and lifted away the old metal runs.
Carefully eased the remaining fittings away from the roof frame with a crowbar. The screw heads had rusted over, so David used a hacksaw to cut the screws and bolts.
Fitted a new fascia, followed by PVC guttering set to carry water towards the downpipe.
Tested the water flow through the completed installation and tidied the working area.
Also helped refit a loose conservatory gutter and put up a new front porch roof.
The finished result
Water ran correctly through the finished system. The roof edge had a neat, continuous appearance, with the gutter sections sitting securely in their brackets.
The customer was very happy with the result and planned to book David again for work at the front of the house.
