How much does patio cleaning cost?

Most patios are £110,£260 inc VAT. Porcelain costs slightly more than sandstone because it's slower and uses softer settings. Re-sanding adds £30,£60 depending on joint length.

Can you clean a porcelain patio without damaging it?

Yes. Porcelain is very dense, too much pressure can chip edges and ruin the matte finish. We use a soft wash + low-pressure lance and the colour comes back without surface damage.

Will cleaning kill my plants and lawn?

No. We use biocides at the right dilution and rinse with pure water. Borders are pre-wet to dilute any over-spray, and we cover sensitive plants where needed.

How often should I clean my patio?

Annually for most homes, usually April,May, before the entertaining season. North-facing or shaded patios may need it twice a year.

Do you re-sand the joints afterwards?

If the joints need it, yes, using either kiln-dried sand or polymeric jointing compound depending on what's already there.

Can Cotswold stone be pressure washed?

It should not be. Pressure opens up the surface of limestone and it then soils faster than before. We use a treatment and a low-pressure rinse instead.

Do you cover Brailes, Tredington and Long Compton?

Yes, the villages around Shipston are all covered.

Cotswold-edge homes, listed buildings and limestone cleaned with care.

patio cleaning in Shipston-on-Stour, what we actually find here

The housing round here. Cotswold-edge town with limestone and lias stone buildings, Georgian frontages and stone-roofed property, plus modern housing on the outskirts and in the surrounding villages.

Why Shipston-on-Stour exteriors get dirty. Limestone is porous and soft. It stains and greens readily, and it is very easy to damage permanently with the wrong equipment.

Access and pricing. Stone roofs and stone paving get treated and rinsed, never lanced, and we will say no to a job rather than damage a surface to get it done faster.

Covering CV36, including Tredington, Honington, Brailes, Long Compton.

Why professional patio cleaning matters

A patio is the most-used outdoor surface most homes have, and the one that ages fastest. Algae, lichen and ground-in barbecue spills dull the colour and make the surface slippery from October to March. The right method depends on the material, porcelain hates pressure, sandstone tolerates it well, limestone needs care.
