How do you clean K-Rend?

Soft wash only. Apply a sodium-hypochlorite based biocide at low pressure, let it dwell, then rinse with pure water at low pressure. Never use a jet wash, it ruins the silicone finish and opens the surface to water.

Can you clean monocouche render?

Yes, same soft-wash method as K-Rend, with biocide dilution tuned for the through-coloured surface. Pressure washing monocouche pulls colour out and shows immediately.

How much does render cleaning cost?

Most semi-detached homes are £180,£450 depending on render area and access. Detached homes with full wraps run £450,£900.

Will the algae come back?

Most properties stay clean for 3,5 years. Shaded, north-facing or tree-lined walls are quicker to regrow, we offer a top-up biocide spray every 2 years on a maintenance plan.

Will it damage my windows or plants?

No. The biocide is plant-safe at our dilution; window frames and gutters are rinsed clear before we finish.

Do you cover every CV postcode in Coventry?

Yes. CV1 through CV7 are all inside our normal round, so there is no travel charge anywhere in the city.

Can you work on a terraced street with no rear access?

Usually yes. We run hoses through a side entry where there is one, and where there is not we agree access through the property with you first so nothing is a surprise on the day.

Trusted by homeowners across every CV postcode from Earlsdon to Binley.

Render cleaning in Coventry starts from £180 and uses soft-wash methods only, never a pressure washer on modern thin-coat render. We treat algae, red lichen and black streaking on K-Rend, monocouche and silicone systems with a controlled biocide and pure-water rinse. The render goes back to its original colour without etching the surface or damaging the bead lines.

render cleaning in Coventry, what we actually find here

The housing round here. Coventry is a real mix. Interwar semis through Coundon and Radford, post-war estates in Tile Hill and Willenhall, Victorian terraces around Earlsdon and Stoke, and newer detached builds out at Binley and Cannon Park.

Why Coventry exteriors get dirty. City air, heavy tree cover on the older avenues and a lot of north-facing elevations mean green algae on render and black spotting on concrete drives are the two things we deal with most here.

Access and pricing. Terraced streets around Earlsdon and Stoke often mean rear access only through the house or an entry, so we plan hose runs and parking before the day rather than on it.

Covering CV1, CV2, CV3, CV4, CV5, CV6, CV7, including Earlsdon, Cheylesmore, Stoke, Allesley, Coundon, Binley, Tile Hill.

Why professional render cleaning matters

Modern thin-coat render, K-Rend, Weber, Parex, Wetherby, is sensitive. Pressure washing scours it, opens the surface to water ingress and ruins the finish. The right method is soft wash: a biocide that kills the algae and red lichen at root, followed by a gentle rinse. The render returns to its original colour over a few weeks as rain carries the dead growth away.

Our render cleaning process

Honest, step-by-step. No surprises on the day.

1
Identify the render
We check what's been applied, K-Rend silicone behaves differently to monocouche and pebble dash.
2
Pre-treat
Soft-wash biocide at the right dilution for the substrate, never a one-size-fits-all spray.
3
Dwell time
Biocide left to work, typically 20,40 minutes.
4
Pure-water rinse
Low-pressure rinse from the ground via reach pole. No abrasion, no etching.
5
Follow-up
Optional courtesy second visit 2,4 weeks later to check the result has come up evenly.
