How do you clean K-Rend?

Soft wash only. Apply a sodium-hypochlorite based biocide at low pressure, let it dwell, then rinse with pure water at low pressure. Never use a jet wash, it ruins the silicone finish and opens the surface to water.

Can you clean monocouche render?

Yes, same soft-wash method as K-Rend, with biocide dilution tuned for the through-coloured surface. Pressure washing monocouche pulls colour out and shows immediately.

How much does render cleaning cost?

Most semi-detached homes are £180,£450 depending on render area and access. Detached homes with full wraps run £450,£900.

Will the algae come back?

Most properties stay clean for 3,5 years. Shaded, north-facing or tree-lined walls are quicker to regrow, we offer a top-up biocide spray every 2 years on a maintenance plan.

Will it damage my windows or plants?

No. The biocide is plant-safe at our dilution; window frames and gutters are rinsed clear before we finish.

Will you protect the planting and lighting?

Yes. Beds, lighting and anything vulnerable are covered and rinsed down before and after as standard.

Is soft washing better for a large roof?

For moss, yes. Soft washing kills the growth without dislodging tiles or forcing water under the laps, which pressure washing a roof absolutely can.

Executive homes a speciality, soft-wash methods for sensitive finishes.

The housing round here. Executive and period property in B93, timber-framed and historic buildings on the High Street, and large detached homes with mature gardens through Bentley Heath.

Why Knowle exteriors get dirty. Sensitive finishes are the norm here, painted render, historic timber and softer brick, alongside big roofs with a lot of surface to keep moss off.

Covering B93, including Dorridge, Bentley Heath, Lapworth.

Why professional render cleaning matters

Modern thin-coat render, K-Rend, Weber, Parex, Wetherby, is sensitive. Pressure washing scours it, opens the surface to water ingress and ruins the finish. The right method is soft wash: a biocide that kills the algae and red lichen at root, followed by a gentle rinse. The render returns to its original colour over a few weeks as rain carries the dead growth away.
