How do you clean K-Rend?

Soft wash only. Apply a sodium-hypochlorite based biocide at low pressure, let it dwell, then rinse with pure water at low pressure. Never use a jet wash, it ruins the silicone finish and opens the surface to water.

Can you clean monocouche render?

Yes, same soft-wash method as K-Rend, with biocide dilution tuned for the through-coloured surface. Pressure washing monocouche pulls colour out and shows immediately.

How much does render cleaning cost?

Most semi-detached homes are £180,£450 depending on render area and access. Detached homes with full wraps run £450,£900.

Will the algae come back?

Most properties stay clean for 3,5 years. Shaded, north-facing or tree-lined walls are quicker to regrow, we offer a top-up biocide spray every 2 years on a maintenance plan.

Will it damage my windows or plants?

No. The biocide is plant-safe at our dilution; window frames and gutters are rinsed clear before we finish.

Is Polesworth covered at the same price as the towns?

Yes. B78 is inside the normal round, same kit, same insurance, same pricing.

My path is slippery, will cleaning fix it?

Yes. The slipperiness is a living algae film. Removing it and treating the surface restores grip, and a yearly treatment keeps it that way.

Village homes covered with the same insured kit as the towns.

Render cleaning in Polesworth starts from £180 and uses soft-wash methods only, never a pressure washer on modern thin-coat render. We treat algae, red lichen and black streaking on K-Rend, monocouche and silicone systems with a controlled biocide and pure-water rinse. The render goes back to its original colour without etching the surface or damaging the bead lines.

render cleaning in Polesworth, what we actually find here

The housing round here. Village housing along the Anker valley with older brick cottages, former colliery terraces and modern estate infill through Dordon and Birchmoor.

Why Polesworth exteriors get dirty. Low-lying and damp along the valley floor, so green film on paths, patios and north-facing render is the standard problem here.

Access and pricing. Village lanes with limited parking, so we plan where the van sits before the day.

Covering B78, including Dordon, Birchmoor, Wood End.

Why professional render cleaning matters

Modern thin-coat render, K-Rend, Weber, Parex, Wetherby, is sensitive. Pressure washing scours it, opens the surface to water ingress and ruins the finish. The right method is soft wash: a biocide that kills the algae and red lichen at root, followed by a gentle rinse. The render returns to its original colour over a few weeks as rain carries the dead growth away.

1

3
Dwell time
Biocide left to work, typically 20,40 minutes.
4
Pure-water rinse
Low-pressure rinse from the ground via reach pole. No abrasion, no etching.
